So many of you have been asking to see pictures of our new home in California that I decided to share a quick sneak peek. We still have no furniture so these are just empty room photos which I will be sure to update as we decorate each space. We were so blessed to get this home. It has been completely renovated and they included beautiful touches such as crown molding throughout, all new hardwood floors throughout, quartz countertops in the kitchens and bathrooms, and beautiful new windows and doors that let in so much light!
First is the foyer. Yep, pretty standard foyer although I would love to replace the overhead light with something that makes a bit more a statement. Also, I am in love with our huge wooden doors!
Off the foyer is what we are calling the office/sitting area. This will become my office and we are also planning on having a sitting area for guests. I love the huge window on one side and sliding glass doors on the other. This is one of 3 sliding glass doors in the house that leads outside! The light in this room is incredible!
Next you come to the dining room. Pretty standard dining room but once again I am in love with the HUGE window. This house is all about light which I love! I do plan on changing the chandelier but for now it is fine.
After the dining room is the kitchen/living room. It was hard to get a good picture of the living room space but you get the idea. I am really happy with the kitchen. The white cabinets and quartz countertops are great and they chose some awesome features like a big slide out spice rack that I love. After moving from the smallest kitchen ever this island feels like paradise! I can’t wait to start cooking in here! The only thing I don’t love is the pendant lighting over the island, just a little too modern for me, but again such a small change!
Finally is the master bedroom. Like I said, we don’t have any furniture so please ignore our air mattress 🙂 The master has awesome light as well and we even have sliding glass doors to our own private deck! I still can’t believe I have a walk in closet and master bathroom with two sinks. After living in such a tiny space for so long these are HUGE things!
So there you have it, a sneak peek at our first floor. Upstairs are 3 more bedrooms and another 2 bathrooms but those are pretty standard spaces. I can’t wait to get our furniture and show you how we really make this house our home!
