Welcome back to the home tour! Want to see more? Click here for the all the rooms I’ve covered so far! Next up? The guest bedroom and bathroom.
The guest bedroom was two toned when we moved in (here it is in our original house tour!) so we painted it a dark moody gray- I really love this color- Anonymous by Behr.
Then we added some art and made some side tables. Honestly, the side tables were super cute and functional… but they only worked well because the room was hardly used. The glue did not make the tables stay together perfectly- it is not a DIY project I would recreate.
A project I would recreate? Our ombre dresser! I love this thing. My only complaint is that the drawers sometimes stick- but that is because it is old, not because of the painting. I love this piece.
Lastly, I organized the closet into a wrapping station. I missed it this Christmas but I did still use the components (especially the wall organizer filled with bags!). One regret- not painting that closet!
Here are the photos from the listing:
Definitely not a totally complete space- but not a horrible one either : )
In the guest bath we did a three phrase mini makeover. Here was the before:
First was painting! In phase 2 we added cute hooks, art (from Greece!) & some new hardware. Finally, in Phase 3, we painted the cabinets. The cabinet painting was a big job but it was amazing. I loved it every time I walked in! Plus it gave me confidence that I could paint cabinets and make them look good!
Overall, the mini makeover was a success- especially for a room that all of our guests used! Here is the after:
Favorite project: Painting the bathroom cabinets.
Least favorite: The side tables!
Biggest regret: not painting the inside of the closet….
Overall it was a functional space : )
