Last weekend one of my coworkers, in fact the coworker I shared my first office with at Booz Allen, had her bridal shower, and I was lucky enough to be invited to make her cake! Kara is super stylish and has the cutest wedding colors, so I had to make sure to live up to Kara standards. She also is a baker & makes delicious cupcakes, so I needed to make sure the cake looked and tasted delicious. Her maid of honor designed the cake and wanted coral flowers with a chevron mint bottom tier to match her wedding colors. She requested an almond cake with raspberry filling which turned out really moist and delicious. Take a look!
Here you can see the more modern coral flowers I made. I usually make more traditional flowers but with the chevrons I wanted to go more modern. I really like how they turned out.
Next I torted and filled the cakes. I then covered with a buttercream icing and fondant.
Last, I added the chevrons! I really like how the cake turned out.
And here is the beautiful bride with her cake!
